An inlay injection into an existing Oval Coffee Table

Our clients, George and Amy, came to us with their own existing coffee table. They loved our work and wanted us to inject some modern marquetry. This oval coffee table now stands proud in their living room with its elegant leg system and oval shaped top. A playful composition of inlay decorates the top surface. 

Modern Marquetry specifics: The form in which the inlay is arranged was down to us. Artistic licence in action. We have used 3 types of colour palette, all coming from surplus materials from within the workshop. The artful composition suits the form and colouration of the existing table. Although the existing table top is made from a veneer, our injection of inlay sits deep into the surface.

Materials: Wooden inlay from surplus inlay.

Finish: Polyurethane varnish.
