Bespoke Kitchen Project
Helston Road, Penryn
A modern, handmade, bespoke kitchen project with a fun, 70s twist. Our client, Nettle, wanted to create their own space using bold colours, functional units and stand-out inlaid handles. A fitted L-shaped run of base units and wall-mounted cupboards create plenty of storage. Personalised to our Nettle’s requirements and handcrafted to be sure this is built to last.
Modern Marquetry specifics: The client's colour palette for the room specified the colours used and the form in which the handles took. As a way to inject artful play into the kitchen, these handles stand out, work perfectly and draw the eye.
Materials: This contemporary design features red, 36mm thick Formica worktops, Birch Ply constructed units and bespoke hand-crafted inlaid handles.
Finish: A hard-wearing lacquered finish allows the units to be wipeable. Oiled end grain and Formica worktop.
Nettle’s Review:
“After seeing what these two made for my cousin in her house, I had some shelves done by Dan and then decided to come back for a whole new kitchen! During the planning stage my needs and ideas have all been perfectly translated into a sketch up which I’m very excited to see take shape. I went for quite a simple design with some lovely unique details, including some handles with inlay by Ravi. I said I wanted something playful, 70s style and to match the colours in the rest of the room and he came up with something so spot on, I’m really looking forward to seeing my new kitchen in the coming weeks!”
